Are you looking for information about fostering regulations?
The most relevant fostering regulations include the Children Act 1989.
The Act outlines the governing of children and fostering services, and relates to children and young people in foster care in England.
The purpose of such regulations is to ensure the welfare of looked after children and improve the outcomes of those children in care.
Here at GLF, we recognise the importance of the child’s well being, and so we want to ensure our foster carers can give the best possible support to those children. We do this by providing our carers with ongoing training and support. It is because of this, that our carers can offer such loving and caring environments to those children in care.
If you would like more information about how to become a foster carer, we would love to talk to you. Alternatively, we have produced a guide, which gives a great introduction to fostering. Take a look and when you are ready to start your fostering journey, we will be here, to answer any questions.
