Can I foster if I have pets?
Having pets in a home can be great for a foster child, as they are often naturally drawn to them. In fact, it can be very therapeutic to be in the company of pets.
We do however have a few breeds of dogs which we consider to much of a risk – these are dogs that have the ability to lock their jaws.
Whatever pet you have, the only other criteria we have is that they are well looked after. We want our foster children to be in a caring, hygienic environment.
Hopefully this answers your question so we’ve got some great blog posts about why being a foster carer is amazing.
