Is there an age limit to be a foster carer?

There is no upper age limit to being a foster carer. In fact, we have carers who foster well into their 70’s successfully.

As long as you are over the age of 21 and physically able, age is no limit to fostering. Although there’s no age limit, we think it’s important that you have experience in looking after children. For example, this could be through your career, or simply looking after family members.
