Does my partner also have to be assessed?
If you and your partner have decided to become foster carers, you would both need to go through the assessment process. This means that you will both need to attend the Skills to Foster course, before applying. We will also need to carry out checks on both of you.
We need to be sure that our children are being fostered by the right family. Our priority is their safety and well being. With both you and your partner going through the assessment process, we can be sure that children are going to be cared for and supported, by the right people.
