Do foster carers have to do tax returns?
All foster carers have to do a tax return, this is because they are self employed.
If carers were employees instead of being ‘contractors’ , there would be a lot more tax applied to their earnings.
At GLF we make it as easy as possible, by providing a statement of earnings, and all the assistance our carers need. We are also there to help you complete the tax return, and hold training courses to help with the financial side of fostering.
