What is private fostering?
Private fostering is where a person looks after a child who is not their own, under a private arrangement between them and the birth parents.
Private fostering is different from normal foster care, as it is not set up by the local authority
As a foster carer you need to be registered by a foster agency after having gone through a formal assessment. If you think fostering is something you could do, then we’d love to hear from you.
