To become a foster carer
Sometimes children can’t live with their birth families, and they need foster carers to look after them. That’s why we’re looking for people that can provide loving and supportive homes.
Greenwich and London are experiencing a shortage of carers to provide homes for local children. As part of our mission, we aim to recruit 15 new fostering families. This will enable us to give these children a stable home environment within their local community, without the need for them to move elsewhere.

As a GLF foster carer, we offer you round-the-clock support to help you meet the challenges that come with caring for children. You can also rest assured that our foster carers receive financial support, including a weekly payment for the costs of caring for a child, as well as additional compensation.
Note that we have a simplified payment structure, which covers the needs of the children you care for, and we offer competitive rates. Our foster carers receive between £450 and £475, depending on the age of the child, for those with standard needs. We also offer more enhanced rates, between £550 and £1600, for carers who can commit to fostering children with more complex needs.

Everyday is different, I'm never bored, that's probably the best thing. It's not like raising your own children, you have to face different challenges everyday.
