Can I foster if I have had a mental health issue?
Having mental health issues is very common. It in itself will not stop you becoming a foster carer with GLF.
We do want to know that you have or are currently receiving help, as we need to make sure you can provide a loving and stable home for a child. We need you to be honest from the start with us, as its important we can build up trust with you. Don’t be worried about talking to us about it, will be always be sympathetic with you.
We’d love to hear about your experiences or comments below.
