Camden needs you

To become a foster carer

We are really sorry that children can’t live with their birth families, and need foster carers – but given they do, we need to find the best homes for them. Can you help?

foster with camden

Currently, we are facing a shortage of foster carers in Camden, as well as the rest of London. Our goal is to make a difference, and we are driven to recruit 15 families who can provide a home to local children who might otherwise move out of the area.

Download our fostering guide to learn how you can get involved and help contribute to your community. It’s packed with valuable insights and practical information that will answer any questions you may have.

Alternatively, you can give us a call at 0208 347 8741, and we will fill you in on all the details about becoming a GLF foster carer. With 24/7 support, we are always available to assist you and offer guidance.

You’ll receive exceptional support as a GLF foster carer. We provide financial support, that includes the weekly expenses of caring for a child, as well as a reward element. To keep it simple and straightforward, we do not offer one-off payments for things like birthdays.

Our payment breakdown is as follows:

– £450 for caring for a child 0-10

– £475 for caring for a child aged 11+

– £550-1600 for enhanced children whose needs are more complex and significant.

We asked our carer Jacqui, what's the best thing about fostering?

Everyday is different, I'm never bored, that's probably the best thing. It's not like raising your own children, you have to face different challenges everyday.

Where in Bromley are we looking for carers?
